Farm Shop
The Really Wild Farm Shop has come about as result of a meeting of minds.
The idea was born with Adam Vincent of Trehale Farm, who's vision was to open a farm shop as an outlet for the high quality produce of the rare breeds meat and charcuterie from his family farm. And also for produce from a collective enterprise of Pembrokeshire farms and smallholdings. He worked tirelessly for nearly two years bringing together like-minded local producers to form a cooperative venture, which engaged great support and practical assistance from a number of private and government-sponsored advisors.
A key requirement was to obtain a prominent premises with easy access for locals and visitors alike. Eventually, they were able to open negotiations for a shop unit at Nant Y Coy, a well-known local attraction which has been beautifully restored over the past few years.
However, it was not a smooth process and, for a number of different reasons, Adam found himself needing to find alternative business partners. He found them in the form of the organisers of the Really Wild Festival which is held in St Davids every September and which had created a good reputation for its dedication to supporting local producers and the best of Pembrokeshire.
The Festival team were excited to be able to offer a year round emphasis on local high quality produce and the idea was re-born with renewed vigour.
