Our Breeds
All our pigs and sheep are traditional, slow growing, rare breeds.
Our breeds are:
Berkshire Pigs
One of the oldest breeds renowned for its depth of flavour and famous for the best crackling there is!
Saddle Back Pigs
A more well known excellent bacon breed, well suited to our total free range system.
Iron Age Pigs
The closest pig to the first domesticated animal. Wild boar crossed with Tamworth producing a smaller carcase with a gamey flavour and a good fat covering.
Manx Loaghtan Sheep
One of the rarest ancient breeds producing a small but extremely flavoursome carcase, meat being dark in colour with an almost gamey flavour contain 75% less cholesterol than commercial breeds.
Jacob Sheep
A very ancient breed possibly originating in the middle east in biblical times these sheep are easily tamed and give us a wonderfully flavoursome ‘sweet’ meat.
All our livestock are slow reared outside to ensure a happier lifestyle and better flavour:

Our sheep 9 - 24 months Commercial lamb 4-6 months
